Mobility Management, in partnership with the Rock County TCC, and the employers and employment supporting institutions is working to attract and sustain new jobs for our disabled and disadvantaged populations.
The Mobility Management Project has worked to address gaps and implement transportation solutions in calendar year 2011. To help address transportation needs for low-wage working households, Community Action has been providing a revolving car loan program for the past three years which has provided a valuable resource. Additionally, CAI intends to pursue continued funding for the Work N’ Wheels program and implement a new driver’s license recovery program. Together these efforts will identify and address the transportation needs of the disadvantaged by providing awareness of existing resources and respond to the transportation service gaps through collaboration with area employers, transportation providers, community and faith based organizations.
