Fatherhood Initiative
Minimize

Fatherhood initiative is a pilot program which began in October 2007.  The program is a partnership with Stateline United Way and will run for fifteen months.  Fatherhood Initiative serves twenty-five fathers who reside or have children in the Stateline area.  Participants are adjudicated fathers between the ages of 18 and 30, with existing support orders who are either unemployed or underemployed.  The majority of participants are non-custodial fathers with limited physical responsibility for their children.  Participants develop job skills to become gainfully employed while enhancing their parenting skills.  Financial responsibility and self-sufficiency are the core focus of the program.
