Tim lives in Elkhorn, and had a hard time finding a well-paying job. His car was old and unreliable, and Walworth County dCar Remoteoesn’t have many other transportation options. He caught a ride to work with coworkers at his part-time job when he could, but that limited his ability to pick up extra hours. Without extra hours, he couldn’t save up for a new car. He was in a catch-22.

Tim reached out to Community Action’s Work N Wheels program. This state-funded program offers zero-interest auto loans for eligible drivers. Tim used his loan to purchase a newer car and is able to pick up more hours at work. He’s also interviewing for a new job, something he wasn’t able to do without reliable transportation.
